Premier League: Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United wages revealed, CR7 becomes United’s highest earner- Ronaldo shocked the football fraternity as the Portuguese icon agreed to a Manchester United return on Friday. The 36-year-old is set to return to the Red Devils and make an incredible comeback after the Premier League side. Man United agreed to pay an initial £13 million fee to Juventus with up to £7m to be paid in add-ons upon completion of the clauses mentioned in the deal.

Before Cristiano Ronaldo made his sensational return to Manchester, the Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea was the highest earner with £375,000/week.

Premier League: What jersey number will Cristiano Ronaldo wear at Manchester United?

The 36-year-old will be unable to take up number seven. However, he could choose either of 12, 15, 24, 28, 30, 31 ,32, 33, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40 and number above it.

Ronaldo is expected to take up the recently vacated 28 number jersey for the upcoming season.

The No.28 holds sentimental value for the Portugal captain as he wore it at Sporting Lisbon during the 2002/03 season.

He was assigned the number during his first season as a professional and he wore the same number during Lisbons’ famous pre-season friendly against United which made the Red Devils sign him up.

Ronaldo will also be available to take up his previously won Sporting Lisbon jersey number with the number 28 currently available at Man United. It was won by Facundo Pellistri last season but the youngster is set to feature for Alaves this season after securing a loan move, vacating it for Ronaldo
