Jurgen Klopp’s side entered the showdown looking to build on their 2-1 victory over Tottenham in midweek. And they did just that, with the Reds now primed to sit at the top of the table on Christmas day.
Takumi Minamimo opened the scoring in the third minute, beating Vicente Guaita from close range after being picked over Mohamed Salah at the start of the game.
Sadio Mane doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 35th minute, with Roberto Firmino then adding a third shortly before the interval.
Jordan Henderson got in on the act in the second half, before Firmino struck again.
And a late brace from Salah added to Crystal Palace’ misery, with the Egypt international previously left on the bench.
