Premier League: Manchester United to bolster their attack with the Dortmund forward, plan to pay release clause- Manchester United has set itself apart from its competitors with the Red Devils believed to be in pole position to acquire the services of Erling Haaland. The Borussia Dortmund striker could be available for £64million due to his release clause. Various reports have revealed how Ole Gunner Solskjaers’ men have swooped in and could land the Norway international next summer.
The 21-year-old has been in red hot form scoring 41 goals for Dortmund last season. He had a great time with the national team as well which resulted in teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea looking to bring him over earlier in the transfer window.

Chelsea was heavy linked with the Norwegian striker with the European champions placing a cash-plus-player bid for Haaland to the German club. However, Dortmund remained adamant on their £150 million price tag that forced the London outfit away. With Chelsea signing Lukaku and cooling down their interest in Erling Haaland, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is said to be the frontrunner for the 21-year-olds’ signature.
According to BILD, Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is said to activate the player’s release clause for Manchester United next season. The super-agent has several links to United with Raiola helping the Red Devils sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Raiola also represents Paul Pogba and was a major figure in seeing the French midfielder complete his move back to Old Trafford.
With Raiola having a great relationship with United, the super-agent could help the Red Devils land Erling Haaland next summer. The 21-year-old also has a good link with Manchester United head coach Ole Gunner Solskjaer. The duo has worked together during their time at Molde from 2017 to 2019.
Haaland has kickstarted the current campaign with a blast. The 21-year-old picked up from where he had left off last season having already scored five goals in four matches for Dortmund.
The Bundesliga outfit is unclear of Haalands’ future at Signal Iduna Park next summer. It will be interesting to see the top clubs battle it out for his signature and where does the 21-year-old end up going in 2022.
