Premier League: Raphael Varane completes Man Utd move, displays jersey to fans before match, check video- The Red Devils have confirmed the transfer of French star Raphael Varane from Real Madrid. The 28-year-old defender has signed a four-year deal which will keep him with the Premier League outfit until June 2025. The French defender joins Manchester United after a trophy-laden career with LaLiga outfit Real Madrid. He is one of the most decorated players in modern football having won numerous trophies with club and country.
Varane won the 2018 World Cup with the French national team while winning four Champions Leagues and three Spanish titles amongst major honors. Amassing 19 trophies in his career so far, United head coach Ole Gunner Solskjaer will be hoping to see the defender replicate his success in England.

Speaking with the clubs’ official website, Raphaël Varane said: “Manchester United is one of the most iconic clubs in world football and the chance to come here and play in the Premier League is something I couldn’t turn down.”
“There is a lot more that I want to achieve in my career and I know I’m joining a squad full of great players who will all have the same determination to win matches and trophies,” said the French defender. “Having spoken to the manager I can see how much progress has been made over the last few seasons and I now join a group ready to play at the highest level. I want to make an impact here and I will give everything to become part of this club’s illustrious history.”
Manchester United is set to lock horns against Leeds United in their first match of the Premier League on Saturday. They will play the West Yorkshire side at home at Old Trafford with almost 75,000 fans expected to fill up the stadium.
