Pro Kabaddi League 2021: Pro Kabaddi League season 8 likely to be held in Bangalore – The much-awaited season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi League is likely to be held in Banglore. The PKL mangement are discussing two venues but the final call is yet to be taken. According to Sportskeeda, Bangalore and Ahmedabad are the two cities in consideration. Ahmedabad will be the backup option in case of in case the COVID-19 situation worsens in Karnataka.

An official from the Pro Kabbadi mangement team told Sportskeeda, “They are planning to host the league in Kantaveerava Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru and have started preparations for the same. However, they have also kept Ahmedabad as an option just in case the situation worsens in Bengaluru.”

Pro Kabaddi League 2021: The entire season will be played in one city. Earlier a similar kind of format was followed by Indian Super League. 

PKL in Bangalore

All the 12 teams will stay in a hotel, where a bio-bubble with strict pandemic rules will be created. This will minimise the risk of players getting infected with Covid-19 during the season. However, it will be difficult for players to stay in a bubble for so long.

“The biggest challenge will be to accommodate training sessions for the 12 teams. Besides this, we will also have to find ways to isolate our players from other teams so that there is no passing of information and tactics. We have started discussions to overcome all of these things,” an official from another PKL team said.

PKL in Bangalore

Pro Kabaddi League 2021: The league is likely to take place in November or December this year while the training camp will start by the end of October last week. The teams will assemble as soon as the venue and dates are finalised.

“We have been in touch with all our players and they are doing fine. They look fit but are they match-fit is the biggest question. We are just waiting for the confirmation on the venue and then will start preparing for the training camp,” the official added.

Pro Kabaddi League 2021: Earlier, in the Pro Kabaddi League auction many high profile players changed their teams. Pradeep Narwal and Siddharth Desai were the only players who crossed 1cr mark during the auction. Pradeep became the costliest player in the history of PKL.
