The Pro Volleyball League has announced the match schedule along with the details of the ticket sales. The plans were revealed at a ceremony on the sidelines of the finals of 67th National Championships in Chennai.

The league is set to begin on February 2 with Kochi Blue Spikers taking on U Mumba Volley in the inaugural match. The six-team league will run till February 22.

The matches will be broadcast live on Sony Six and Sony Ten 3. Fans on the move can catch the live action Sony’s OTT platform Sony LIV.

Besides, the organisers claim to have structured the ticketing prices with an aim to draw maximum fans to the stadium. The tickets have been priced at Rs. 300 while season passes will be made available at a 30% discount and the early bird tickets will be available at a 20% discount. All tickets will be available on Paytm and from today onwards, the tournament’s official ticketing partners.

“The ticket prices have been framed in a way to ensure maximum number of fans make their way to the stadium as the yardstick to measure a leagues success is only by the reception it gets from the fans. As far as the fixtures go, we have kept only one match a day so there’s not much pressure on the teams and there is enough recovery time between matches,” said Pro Volleyball CEO Joy Bhattacharjya.

“I feel elated with the fact that our long term dream of executing India’s first professional volleyball league, is finally taking form. I would like to congratulate all organizers who have worked day in and out to make this happen. This February is going to be an exciting time for Indian volleyball as we witness one of the biggest spectacles for volleyball unfolding in India and now it’s time for the fans to come in full support and make this league a humongous success,” said former India international and VFI Secretary General Ramavtar Singh Jakhar.
