PSL 2021 Final: Shahid Afridi sends best wishes to Multan Sultans ahead of the final against Peshawar Zalmi – Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi who pulled out of the Pakistan Super League 2021 phase two due to the lower-back injury, has sent his best wishes for his team Multan Sultans ahead of the PSL 2021 final against Peshawar Zalmi.

The owner of the Multan Sultans’ franchise Ali Tareen tweeted that he missed Afridi and it would have been amazing to see him play the final. 

“I wish Lala was there. Would have been amazing to see him play another final. @SAfridiOfficial,” he tweeted.

Respnding to the tweet Afridi said that he is also missing everyone and sent best wishes for his side. “Yes Ali missing my teammates and really wish to be there in Abu Dhabi! But I’m sure our @MultanSultans would play quality cricket and bring us all immense joy and reasons to celebrate on Thursday,” Afridi tweeted.

Afridi also congratulated Multan on reaching the final of PSL 2021. 

In another tweet, Afridi said, “Congratulations to my team@MultanSultanson the win! wonderful spell by @sohailmalik614 Great to see @sohaibcricketer and khushdil play such a great innings. Wish you boys the best of luck for the finals!”

Afridi played four games for Multan but had to opt-out due to the back injury last month.

Multan Sultans defeated table-toppers Islamabad United by 31 runs to enter the finals of the PSL 2021. Sohail Tanvir was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets while Imran Tahir also scalped two wickets.

The final of the PSL 2021 will be played between Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans and Wahab Riaz’s Peshawar Zalmi here at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
