PSL 2021 |Mohammad Hafeez asks fans to follow COVID-19 SOPs as crowds set to return stadiums after year-long wait- Lahore Qalandars batsman Mohammad Hafeez has urged spectators to follow the COVID-19 SOPs to make the upcoming sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021) a successful one. The Pakistan all-rounder has credited the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for making efforts to make it possible for the crowd to attend the T20 event amid the pandemic.

“The sixth edition of the PSL is taking place with the efforts of the cricket board and the National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) which has allowed 20% of the spectators to come to the stadiums,” Hafeez said told geo tv.

Hafeez added that allowing the crowd in the stadium is a good decision saying that it will boost the morale of the players.

“The presence of spectators increases the energy in the ground. We will all try to entertain the fans during the PSL,” 40-year-old said.

PSL 6 will be the first event after COVID-19 scare where the spectators will be back to the stands. Fans have asked to take necessary precautions at the stadiums.

Speaking about troubles faced by Pakistan players during COVID-19, Hafeez said that players are now able to adjust in the bio-bubble.

“It is not difficult to survive in it now. This biosecure bubble is essential for the continuation of cricket. Given the coronavirus situation, if there is no biosecure bubble, then there is no cricket,” Hafeez added.
