The last few days have been a rollercoaster with major leaks & updates dropping every now & then. PUBG Mobile fans were eagerly waiting for the nuke to drop anytime now. And just like that, it all came true. After an insufferable wait of six months, we finally have some major official progress. To everyone’s surprise, the game rebranded itself under a new banner named “Battlegrounds Mobile India” & has begun the process of a re-release in the nation.
Today Battlegrounds Mobile India posted a community update on their official YouTube Channel that features a Level 3 Helmet eclipsing a beam of light. Now it might seem bleak, but geeks on the internet immediately came up with a theory. They suspect that the game is releasing on the day of the next Solar Eclipse, which is on June 10th. To some, it will hardly make sense but many are buying this theory of PUBG teasing the launch date of Battlegrounds Mobile India via this poster. Although one thing is for sure, the post confirms that the game releasing soon indeed.
A renowned figure in the Indian gaming community & official PUBG Mobile caster Ocean Sharma also had shared “As I previously stated, there will be two major announcements in May, one of which has been made today. Also, if this was just a teaser, the trailer could arrive by the end of the month if everything goes according to plan. Because this was only a baby step, the game could be available by June.”
While these are just predictions, this time the whole community seems confident about the release. Moreover, for the first time in many months, there is some official progress on the release which included rebranding the game, official logo reveal & more. The game is also to have pre-registrations before its launch which is rumoured to begin in the second half of May. Now, if everything proceeds as planned, June 10th might just be the date when everybody reunites with their favourite battle royale title.
