PUBG Mobile Latest Update: A new map is coming to PUBG Mobile and will be revealed on the Day 2 of the Global Championship (PMGC) 2020 Finals. The map will be revealed on January 22, 2021.
The official Instagram page for PUBG Mobile Malaysia uploaded the entire schedule of the PMGC 2020 Finals. Keeping in line with the schedule of the tournament, the match is going to be teased around 7:50 am CT on January 22. As per the schedule, the promo of the new map is going to last for at least half an hour.
There is no intimation from the developers about how the map is going to be or how it is going to look like, and the players don’t know what to expect from the new map. There is a huge possibility that the developers could introduce Karakin to PUBG.
Karakin is a two-by-two kilometre map, originally found in PC version and is half in size when compared to Sanhok, a predominantly smaller map when compared to Erangle and Miramar. Owing to the size of the map, the lobby doesn’t have 100 players but has a mere 64 players competing for the chicken dinner. This map was first released for the PC version of PUBG back in February 2020.
Currently, there are five classic play maps available in Mobile version– Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, and Livik. Karakin, is very similar to Livik, which is a two-by-two kilometre map. Livik has been a PUBG Mobile exclusive map and has a 50 players limit. The map was introduced in July.
The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2020 Finals will start from January 21 to 24. A total of 16 teams from across the globe will take part in the event and compete for a $1.2 million prize pool and the crown of world champions. The PMGC Finals is going to take place at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, which has a seating capacity of 17,000 people. Players can tune into the event through PUBG Mobile Esports’ official Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch channels.
