PUBG Mobile Pro Banned. After Lucas “Goodzin” Martin, a Brazilian PUBG Pro got suspended from Esports for Racist Remarks, another player from the same region Gabriel “NTX” Garcia met with a similar fate for repeating the prior’s mistake.

PUBG Mobile esports said in a statement “Both the tournament organizer and Tencent Games reiterate that the PMPL Brazil and the PUBG Mobile ecosystem has no tolerance for the discriminatory and toxic vocabulary used recently,”

They further reported “We will continue to investigate and punish these actions. Tournament organizers will also find ways to better educate the players and teams in the next edition of PMPL and PMCO Brazil tournaments. The process will consider new ways to think and communicate, resulting in a healthier environment for the players ”.

Banned under competitive ruling 6.3.3 (Discrimination and Denigration) of PMPL Brazil, NTX won’t be allowed to take part in the ongoing PUBG Mobile Pro League: Brazil, where his team Influence Rage is currently holding the 10th spot.

To talk about further consequences for the banned PUBG Mobile Pro, Influence Rage has released the player from its roster. Influence Rage reported that the organization will look into the matters of “re-education, social awareness, and psychological assistance” of players, reported Dot Esports.

Lastly, NTX apologized by posting an Instagram Story where he explained that the racist words were addressed to a colleague of his with whom he has been playing for a long time. He also said that he never meant to hurt anyone & would be taking certain steps so that mistakes like these never get repeated.

While the zero-tolerance policy is a great measure to stop discriminatory attitudes towards other players, players themselves also need to be extra cautious as they influence thousands of people on a daily basis. Esports is a sport for everyone & no one should bring down another gamer regarding their race, colour, or even for something as little as poor performance in the game. Although there are players who are widely valued for their calm & composed attitude, it looks like there are some who still have a long way to go when it comes to responsible gaming.
