PUBG Mobile: PUBG bans over 1 million accounts for cheating and game hacks –  Using cheat codes and hacks in games has remained popular for years. But PUBG Corporation, the developer of the PUBG Mobile game has been clear that it won’t show any leniency to such gamers, announcing that it has permanently banned over 1 million players’ accounts due to using hacks and cheating in the game. Those players will not be able to access the game from the same account in the future.

The game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, has been an immensely popular Esports title but to gain an advantage in the Battle Royale, many gamers take the easy route, using cheats and hacks. In this instance, 1,110,842 accounts used Auto-Aim hacks, Cross mark Speed hacks and Cross mark X-Ray Vision to gain an upper hand in the game. As a result, Tencent’s title banned the accounts that used such hacks between March 3 and March 11.

Furthermore, at least 1% of them were from the Conqueror category. As for the hacks, gamers mostly, 29%, used the auto-aim. However, to discourage such behaviour from gamers, PUBG Corporation comes up with regular in-game giveaways. Recently, the developers announced free in-game items including weapons and hoodies to celebrate PUBG’s 4th Anniversary. PUBG Mobile, which will celebrate its 3rd Anniversary, is also expected to announce contests and giveaways.

However, with the game banned in India by the government on national security grounds, neither the account suspension nor the giveaways will apply to the Indian market. As per the developers, they are trying to relaunch in India with permission from the government. But there hasn’t been any development on that front.
