PUBG New State vs PUBG Mobile: Games like PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile and Fortnite have helped the battle-royale genre expand immensely. PUBG Moblie has reached mythical status in India. The title has accumulated an enormous audience with its mobile version, PUBG Mobile. And now Krafton Inc., the parent company of Playerunknown’s Battleground, has announced a new title PUBG New State which has got everyone excited.
Krafton is creating a lot of buzz for its new battle royale title on social media. It has also released a cool trailer and opened pre-registration for the game. But is the hype worth it?
Here are the differences between PUBG Mobile and PUBG New State.
PUBG New State vs PUBG Mobile: Maps
PUBG New State will follow the same battle royal formula of the original PUBG but with a more realistic or let’s say ‘futuristic’ approach. The game will be set in 2051, so players can expect a dash of futuristic technology. The new map is reportedly called ‘Troi’ and is said to be 8x8km in size, the same as Erangel and Miramar. But the map will offer large indoor locations such as a mall and shopping complexes.
PUBG New State vs PUBG Mobile: Weapons
Weapons seem to be as varied as ever with a host of weapons visible in the PUBG New State trailer. This includes SMGs, assault rifles and sniper rifles. The trailer also gave a glimpse of a futuristic holographic display and a grenade.
The game’s listing on the Google Play Store reads: “Realistic and Dynamic Gunplay. Enjoy realistic gunplay optimized for mobile gaming. Master different weapons and make each of them your own with weapon customization”.

This might hint at weapon customisation coming to PUBG New State. It would be something similar to what Call of Duty: Mobile offers in form of Gunsmith.
PUBG New State vs PUBG Mobile: Features
A notable feature in the trailer is when the player sets up a small shield in PUBG New State. It is something similar to what the Defender does in COD Mobile. It is still unknown if this is a piece of equipment that players will be equipped with or can pick up. Earlier, in 2019, it was reported by The Digit that PUBG Mobile was testing with deployable shied, grappling hooks.
Besides this, a ‘gloo wall’ something synonymous with Free Fire, was also seen in the trailer. Gloo wall is a movable wall that can be planted anywhere.
PUBG New State pre-registration begins
The registration for PUBG New State have begun for Android users on Google Play store. The iOS users will have to wait a little longer before getting a glimpse of the new PUBG title on App Store. Meanwhile, Indian esports players will not be able to enjoy the game due to the ban of the title by the government.
