Randy Orton will clash against Drew McIntyre at Clash of Champions 2020 for WWE Championship

WWE Raw Highlights: Randy Orton once again earned the another opportunity to face off against WWE champion Drew McIntyre on the upcoming WWE PPV – Clash of Champions for WWE championship. Randy Orton grabbed this opportunity earlier in the RAW episode where he defeated both Seth Rollins and Keith Lee in a Triple Threat #1 contender for WWE Championship.

After losing from Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam 2020 in a mammoth championship match now, Orton has got another golden opportunity to become WWE champion for the 14th time at Clash of Champions. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre did not perform at Payback since he was viciously attacked by Randy Orton on the RAW episode and McIntyre suffered from brutal head injuries when Orton punted him thrice and led to sent away from WWE TV for a while.

Randy Orton will become the new WWE Champion at Clash of Champions?

There are a lot of speculation going on at the moment that Randy Orton will eventually become the new WWE champion at Clash of Champions, and then challenge Keith Lee for a championship match. And the only reason why Randy Orton loss in a shocking way against Keith Lee under ten minutes at Payback 2020 so that they will build up a new rivalry after Clash of Champions.

Drew McIntyre, currently, holding the WWE Championship since Wrestlemania 36, and if he lose his Championship against Orton at Clash of Champions then he would have been full credit that how he handled this title at one of most unique periods in WWE history and performed successfully against some of the best wrestlers in WWE.

This would eventually lead Orton to hold this championship till Wrestlemania 37, and then rumored to be faced off against Edge in the main event of the Wrestlemania. However, there is no official confirmation for such scenario so far from WWE.

Nevertheless, WWE Clash of Champions is scheduled to take place on 27th September, 2020 Live from Amway Center, Orlando.
