Raptors vs Hornets Highlights: It was the Raptors vs Hornets in the NBA Preseason. The Raptors vs Hornets match ended as a 111-100 win for the Raptors.

Toronto Raptors come out with a win in their first game of NBA preseason. Although they trailed by 9 points in the first quarter, they made up for it in the second quarter by defending really well.

The Raptors kept the Hornets at bay in the second quarter as they let them score only 19 points. The Raptors led at halftime with 7 points as the score was 58-51.

Even though the Hornets lost, their two new additions – Gordon Hayward and LaMelo Ball played well. LaMelo Ball led the Hornets team in assists and rebounds in his first game.

Matt Thomas was the leading scorer for the Raptors. He had 16 points with a healthy 5/9 FG and converted both of his free throws.

For the Hornets, Miles Bridges scored 12 points, shooting at 50%. He had a single free throw and converted it successfully.

Assists leaders

Matt Thomas led the Raptors both in points and assists. He had 5 assists in 22 minutes and only gave away a single turnover.

For the Hornets, their Draft pick No.3 led them in assists. He had 4 assists in 16 minutes. Although, he also gave away 4 turnovers.

Rebounds leaders

OG Anunoby grabbed the board 5 times, 2 of which were offensive rebounds. This was the highest for the Raptors.

For the Hornets, it was again LaMelo Ball with rebound numbers in double digits. He grabbed the defensive board 10 times.

The Hornets have added the ex-Boston Celtics star Gordon Hayward for a whopping $120 million. They also have acquired one of the hottest prospects in the NBA Draft 2020, LaMelo Ball.

Marc Gasol has left for the LA Lakers and Serge Ibaka has left for the LA Clippers to reunite with another ex-Raptor Kawhi Leonard.
