Red FM 93.5 logo will replace Ultra Tech Cement brand on the front jersey of the SuRisers Hyderabad for the Indian Premier League 2018. A formal announcement is awaited.
With the IPL 2018 season to kick start in five days’ time, SunRisers Hyderabad management has decided to support the logo of the team owners’ associate brand Red FM 93.5. The SunRisers Hyderabad franchisee owners, Kalanithi Maran and Sun TV Networks, hold 49% stake in the Red FM 93.5 radio station.
Red FM 93.5 will mark the fifth year of its brand presence with the SunRisers Hyderabad team.
Insidesport.co has reliably learnt that the franchisee has got two new principal sponsors on board for an all new IPL Season 11. Pharma sector company Mankind will promote its Manforce brand on the back of the SRH team kit, while one of India’s largest knitwear manufacturers Rupa has struck the deal for the chest branding of the team.
Meanwhile, Nerolac paints, Jio Digital, Kingfisher Premium and Astral Bond Tile are tipped to continue their existing associations with the Hyderabad IPL team.
SunRisers Hyderabad and their incumbent title sponsor Ultra Tech Cement have had initial negotiations to extend their two-year old association. However, as reported by insidesport.co earlier, the franchisee and the company had failed to arrive at an understanding. TYKA will continue to be the kit partner for the team.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, who had named New Zealand captain Kane Williams to spearhead the team in place of suspended David Warner, will start their IPL campaign on April 8 against hosts Kolkata Knight Riders.
The team has also picked Alex Hales, the only Englishman to crack a T20 International hundred, as a replacement for Warner.
