NIKE have been outed on Twitter, for seemingly photoshopping an Adidas logo out of a promotional Cristiano Ronaldo tweet.
The image of a young Ronaldo was posted on the player’s Twitter feed, featuring the words “this boy knew” with their trademark swoosh tick underneath, The Sun reports.
But as fans have pointed out in the original image, the young Ronaldo was wearing an adidas jumper. Nike immediately took to photoshop to superimpose the Nike logo on adidas.

The 32-year-old was in white-hot form on Saturday as he netted twice and Real Madrid smashed four past Juventus to win the Champions League final 4-1.
Ronaldo really was in tip-top form as he became the first player to score in three Champions League finals, after netting for Manchester United against Chelsea in 2008, in extra time for Real against Atletico in 2014 and two on Saturday.
That’s not to forget he also bagged the trophy-winning penalty in last season’s final as Los Blancos beat Atletico in the final for a second time in three years.

It is no surprise Nike were so keen to muscle in on Ronaldo’s fame, he is one of their top-endorsed athletes and recently topped American broadcaster ESPN’s list of the top 100 famous sportsmen and women in the world.

And given Nike are the kit manufacturer for neither of the teams in the final, their marketing team did the best they could to get in on the act.
But it wasn’t enough for them to avoid a mass-ridiculing from fans on social media.
The backlash to the promotion did not appear to phase Ronaldo. It was confirmed he would be the face of the FIFA 18 computer game just hours later.
Ronaldo will feature on the cover of the game to be released at the end of September, EA Sports announced on Tuesday (AEDT).

Meanwhile, mini Ronaldo Cristiano Jr has been showing off his silky football skills at the Bernabeu during Real’s huge celebrations in front of their home crowd.
Los Blancos flew back from Cardiff to the Spanish capital after their celebrations on Saturday night and paraded the European Cup in front of their supporters for the 12th time.
And Cristiano Jr was filmed skinning a number of other kids before poking the ball into the back of the net on the Bernabeu pitch.
How long before the club – and Nike — sign him up?
