Rey Mysterio gives an update on his future plans with WWE

WWE News: ‘The master of 619’ Rey Mysterio is slowly recovering from his eye injury which he faced during a bizarre battle against Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules in “An eye for an eye” match.

However, according to some reports it has been revealed that Rey Mysterio wants to continue work with the company. It is also said that Rey Mysterio and Vince McMahon have a great understanding between them and Vince McMahon knows how to deal with legends. Moreover, it is the only reason why Rey Mysterio’s discussion is going on to much in WWE.

As per reports, Rey Mysterio asked for the raise after his 18-months contract got over with WWE. However, Vince McMahon wasn’t willing to bump the offer given the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.

According to Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Newsletter Observer also explained this in his latest report that Rey Mysterio is not going anywhere However, Mysterio has also received some offers from AEW and NJPW but Mysterio has not shown any concern on that

“I can’t confirm pen to paper, but Rey Mysterio is staying, as was always the betting line outcome of this, but it’s as close to the official without confirmation of it being official, and obviously Dominik is a big part of that deal. AEW made an offer that equaled the WWE’s pre-match offer, but the WWE offer was higher because it was for more dates. We don’t have a time frame past this new deal would be considerably longer than the previous (18 months) deal but not the five-years or longer deals that WWE has tried to get everyone on.”

What makes Rey Mysterio stay on WWE?

The only reason which makes Mysterio stay on WWE because of his son, Dominik, who will make his in-ring debut on WWE against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. And Rey Mysterio wants to see his son touch the glory in this match; and Mysterio then retires from WWE happily.
