Rohit Sharma issues warning, says ‘more to come’ on the anniversary of his historic ODI double ton

Rohit Sharma reacts on the eve of his third ODI double ton: Exactly three years ago on this day (December 13) Rohit Sharma hit a 3rd ODI double century, becoming the first and only batsman to achieve this feat. It was at PCA-IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on December 13, 2017 that Rohit Sharma hit an unbeaten 208 against Sri Lanka.

On Saturday, as Star Sports tweeted about the achievement, Rohit Sharma replied with a simple message, ‘More to Come’.

The level of his achievement is such that no other player has been able to replicate it apart from Rohit Sharma and there are a total of just 8 double centuries in ODI cricket.

Now with being fit and all set to travel to Australia, Rohit Sharma, who has been in fine form on the field will be seen back in action.

Rohit Sharma, who has been in sublime form is all set to leave for Australia after rehabbing his hamstring injury which he picked up during the IPL 2020. He led the Mumbai Indians (MI) to a record fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy in the UAE and will now part of India’s Test squad.

The Hitman who has many records to his name however has a special connection with December 13. While he not only made achievements on the field, he even flourished of field.

On the same day, Rohit Sharma in 2017 had given his wife Ritika the perfect wedding anniversary gift after scoring his third ODI double century to help India post a mammoth 392/4 against Sri Lanka in the second One-day International. Ritika, who was seen cheering for Rohit from the stands, had got emotional when her husband created history at the Punjab Cricket Association I.S. Bindra Stadium. Rohit kissed the ring on his finger and pointed towards Ritika as the crowd got on their feet to applaud his performance.
