India’s most popular cricket fan Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary will be the face of Sony Pictures Sports’ Networks’ campaign for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Sony Pictures Sports Network has launched promotional campaign ‘Rang De Tiranga’ for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

The games will be shown live on SONY SIX and SONY TEN 2 in English and SONY TEN 3 in Hindi from April 4, 2018.

The Commonwealth Games is one of the world’s biggest multi-sport events where India has consistently performed extremely well. During the last games, held at Glasgow in 2014, India won 64 medals (15 gold, 30 silver, and 19 bronze) across wrestling, shooting, weightlifting, boxing, badminton and judo amongst others. With such a glorious past, SPSN has designed a campaign that urges the fans to take notice and cheer on its athletes as they vie to bring home yet another huge tally of medals, SPSN has stated in a Press release.

The campaign revolves around one of Indian cricket’s biggest fan symbols, Team India super fan – Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary. He is shown as the face of SPSN’s rallying cry ‘Rang De Tiranga’ that asks fans to show their support for the tricolour and the Indian athletes. The personal message he delivers to his fellow fans echoes one sentiment loud and clear – that for a true fan, the pride of the country comes first and support for India must be just as passionate, irrespective of the sport in question. After all, the joy of seeing the tricolour flying high is a heart-warming moment for all true fans.
