Sachin Tendulkar regrets not playing with these two legends- It might sound surprising but Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also have regrets about his cricket career. In a recent interview, Sachin said that he has regrets of not being play to play with two legends in world cricket- Sir Vivian Richards and Sunil Gavaskar.
“I have two regrets. The first is that I have never played with Sunil Gavaskar. Gavaskar was my batting hero when I grew up and not playing with him as part of a team remains a regret. Gavaskar retired a couple of years before I made my debut,” Tendulkar told cricket.com.
It is notable that Gavaskar is the first cricketer to complete 10,000 runs in Test cricket.
The other player on his Sachin Tendulkar’s wishlist is West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards.
“My other regret is not having played against my childhood hero Sir Vivian Richards. I was fortunate to have played against him in county cricket, but I still rue not being able to play against him in an international match. Even though Sir Richards retired in 1991 and we have a couple of years overlapping in our careers, we did not get to play against each other,” he added.
It is notable that Sachin Tendulkar has played 200 Tests, 463 ODIs for India with 100 centuries.
The legendary batsman was last seen in action during Road Safety World Series in March ahead of IPL 2021 Phase 1.
