The biopic on the life of hockey star Sandeep Singh – #Soorma – is all set for the July 13 release.
The film #Soorma is a biography based on the life of star hockey player and former India captain Sandeep Singh, being played by singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. Tapsee Pannu plays the lead as Harpreet, portraying Sandeep Singh’s wife and former hockey player Harjinder Kaur.
Tapsee has herself shared a poster on social media, revealing her first look as Harpreet and the release date for the film.

The Sony Pictures Networks production also features Angad Bedi as Sandeep’s elder brother Bikramjeet Singh – himself a hockey player of repute.
#Soorma is the story of gutsy drag-flicker, who was paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot injury during a train journey. Sandeep’s life and career aptly justify the film’s tagline – The Greatest Comeback Story of the Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh.
Rising from the wheelchair, Sandeep had fought his way back into the national team, leading India to the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup title triumph and a ticket to the 2012 Olympic Games.
