Electric motorsport racing series Formula E has inked a multi-year agreement with Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA).
The deal will see Jeddah-based national carrier airline of Saudi Arabia become the official airline partner of Formula E as well as the race title partner of the SAUDIA Ad Diriyah E-Prix, marking the inaugural race of ABB FIA Formula E Championship Season 5 on December 15.
The announcement was made at Governorate Ad Diriyah, after Formula E driver Felipe Massa’s drive in the radical new Gen2 car through the streets of the Saudi Arabian capital.
Saudi Arabian Airlines Director General, His Excellency Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, said, “SAUDIA is pleased to be supporting the ABB FIA Formula E Championship for the upcoming event in Ad Diriyah – a first for Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.”
