Insurance of a T-20 international match is priced at INR 5 crore.
Saurashtra Cricket Association has insured the second game of the ongoing T-20 International series between India and New Zealand, scheduled onNovember 4, for INR 5 crore.
“All the preparation for the match has got completed and the stadium, which has a 28,000 capacity, would be a full house,” PTI has quoted SCA media manager Himanshu Shah as saying. “The match has also been given insurance cover of Rs. 5 crore”, he added.
The SCA will be hosting a T-20 international for a second time. The venue earlier had played host to a T-20 international match in October 2013, when India had defeated Australia by six wickets.
“Both the teams will arrive in two separate flights,” Shah said, adding that New Zealand will have practice session on Friday morning while India will have a training session in the afternoon.
India are leading the series 1-0 after beating the visitors by 53 runs in the opening game played at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi. The series opener at the Kotla will also be remembered for the retirement of veteran speedster Ashish Nehra, who bid adieu to all forms of cricket after a two-decade illustrious but injury plagued career.
