The 64th Senior National Wrestling championships scheduled in Jalandhar (India) from Nov.29 is losing its sheen by the day. After Bajrang Punia and Deepak Punia, now two time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar has also decided to skip India’s premier national wrestling event.

WrestlingTV is learning through its sources that Sushil who is currently on holiday will rather train in Russia instead of playing in the national championships.

Earlier both Bajrang and Deepak decided to give Senior National Wrestling Championships a miss. Bajrang & Deepak both have informed the Wrestling Federation of India that they will not be available for the biggest domestic event. Bajrang and Deepak both have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by securing quota places during the world championships in Nur-Sultan in September. As per the information with both the champion wrestlers are currently nursing injuries.
