Shahrukh Khan is eyeing stardom as a batsman. He is not far from that status was established during his performance in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.

The next big goal is the Indian Premier League as he will be keen to show his might with the bat on the big stage and catch the imagination of all cricket lovers.

The man who has pleased all while opening the innings for the Kovai Kings in the Tamil Nadu Premier League now is eager to keep the good show going to impress the IPL talent hunters during the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The professional out to look for talent before the December 19 IPL auction in Kolkata, are reportedly showing interest in this star. “Who is that tall, muscular batsman?” national daily The Hindu has quoted an IPL talent hunter in Jaipur questioning about the young Khan.

This Khan is certainly not the King Khan of Bollywood. Not the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and the CPL team Trinbago Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan.

Namesake of one of India’s top film stars hasn’t got too many opportunities in this tournament, but he has still been able to make a mark. The scintillating 69 not out off 45 balls against Bengal showed what he was capable of.

The Tamil Nadu batsman is now relying on his TNPL experience to graduate to the next level.  “The experience at the TNPL has helped me tremendously,” The Hindu has quoted Khan as saying.

After making List A debut in 2014, he made his Ranji Trophy debut last year. Playing in his hometown of Chennai, he made an unbeaten 92 against an excellent pace attack of Kerala.

“I think these opportunities have come at the right time for me,” said Shahrukh. “Maybe I needed those years to mature as a batsman.”
