Prithvi Shaw is eyeing his return to international cricket via a badminton court. The teenaged cricket star will be training with the BWF badminton world champion PV Sindhu to regain his fitness and confidence for returning to international cricket.

The training stint will reportedly be scheduled in Hyderabad.

According to a report in national daily The Hindu, Shaw’s team is planning a training scheduled with Sindhu in Hyderabad.

Shaw is recuperating in England to overcome the psychological and physical effects of staying away from the competitive cricket for nine months. He was handed a ban from March 16 to November 15 for “inadvertently taking” prohibited substance.

On training with Sindhu, a source close to Shaw had told The Hindu, “The idea is to improve his overall fitness and agility as a fielder.

“We expect Shaw to improve his flexibility as a fielder and also enhance his endurance power to play long innings.”
