Six. The love story of an ex-Indian Premier League player and the wealthy franchisee over will be staged at The Jeff Goldberg studio in Mumbai.
Written and directed by Jeff Goldberg, the play in the backdrop of the Indian Premier League is a love story adapted from LB Hamilton’s play A Midnight Clear.
Jeff Goldberth Studio is known for raising some of the most riveting social issues, trends and news in the form of meaningful plays. Six, the latest addition in that illustrious list, has been slated for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 15th, 16th & 17th February.
Considering that the love for cricket is second only to religion in India, there is bound to be interest in a stage play that incorporates the game. The theme of cricket in the story interestingly intertwines a tale of love and longing.
The story follows a meeting between two former lovers. While the male lead is a former IPL cricket star, the female is the wealthy owner of an IPL team. The two have not seen each other in a year but are put together once again by circumstances after one is brutally attacked. During an eventful evening, they rediscover their profound love for one another and also make the heartbreaking discovery on why they tragically can never be together.
Namit Khanna, Gurfateh Pirzada and Natasha are the lead actors.
The tickets are on sale at the venue and on Bookmyshow.
The timing for the play provides a perfect prelude to the upcoming Indian Premier League Season 12, which is tipped to start from March 12. Though a formal schedule is still awaited.
