SL vs BAN: Sri Lanka will tour Bangladesh for a short three-match ODI series beginning May 23, the country’s cricket board announced on Wednesday.
Sri Lanka will arrive in Dhaka on the 16th of May and serve a two-day mandatory quarantine period. Following that, the two sides will train at the Bangladesh National Cricket Board’s Academy on the 19th and 20th. The Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan will host a 50-over practice game for the visitors on the 21st, followed by another training the next day..
The first ODI gets underway on the 23rd, with the next two on the 25th and 28th. In between the ODIs, the home side and Sri Lanka will have the training and rest periods as well. The visitors will depart from Bangladesh on the 29th of May. Meanwhile, the hosts have also announced a 21-man preliminary squad that includes Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan – both of whom missed the Test series against Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka will be the second foreign team to tour Bangladesh amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
West Indies had toured Bangladesh in January-February for a two-Test and three-match ODI series in Dhaka and Chattogram.
