Star Sports has got six broadcast partners on board for India’s home series against Sri Lanka. The “Tigers” from the island nation are in India for three Tests, as many one-day internationals and T-20 internationals between November 16 and December 24.
Vimal Pan Masala and Policy Bazar are continuing their association with cricket and the broadcaster beyond the just-concluded New Zealand Series. Mutual Funds Association of India, which was on board with the Star Sports for the Vivo PKL, extends the relationship for the India-Sri Lanka cricket series – which also has CEAT Tyres, McDowell’s, India Bulls Home Loans and Kajaria tiles as broadcast sponsors.
Star India is expecting four to six more partners for the series.
Insidesport has reliably learnt that the broadcaster has priced the ODI series at INR 2.85 lakh, T-20 internationals at INR 5 lakh and the Test matches at INR 60,000 per 10 second spots, with a 15% negotiation cushion to close the deals. Each broadcast sponsor gets 120 seconds per ODI and T-20 game and 240 seconds on the each Test match day.
Meanwhile, Star India is reportedly aiming to generate INR 1,800 crore from the Indian Premier League Season XI ad sales. Star India is working on the strategy to hit market for its first broadcast of India’s most precious sports league. A separate team, headed by vice presidents Atul Gandhi and Vaibhav Goyal, has been formed for the IPL-related ad sales.

The Sri Lanka’s tour of India will be broadcast live on Star Sports 1, Star Sports HD, Star Sports 1 Hindi, Star Sports 1 HD and Star Sports Tamil.
