Star India invites media pitches

Star India Private Limited, the merged entity of Star and Disney and wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India, has invited interest for its media mandate.

The consolidated pitch for traditional and digital mediums may go up to ₹ 400 crore.

The Indian pitch is part of a global review, media news platform exchange4media has reported, quoting sources.

Country’s top media agencies are reported to be in hunt for what is one of the leading media accounts in the company. Companies have reportedly started giving their presentations at the Star India office in Mumbai.

GroupM’s Mindshare is Star India’s media agency at present.

Disney now holds a major share in the 21st Century Fox following a $ 71 billion acquisition and merger deal in March this year.

The Star and Disney in India is headed by ex-Star India CEO Sanjay Gupta, who was elevated to the position of Star India managing director. He reports to Star and Disney India chairman and The Walt Disney Co Asia Pacific president Uday Shankar.
