TAG Heuer has announced the signing of a partnership with the prestigious South American football club competition Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
Major sponsor of sports, TAG Heuer will now be keeping time for football on the South American continent. Alongside its nationwide football properties in Europe (Bundesliga, Ligue 1, La Liga, Premier League), Asia (CLS, J-League), and North America (MLS, U.S. Soccer), TAG Heuer will now also be the Timekeeper for the Copa Conmebol Libertadores in South America, the luxury watch brand has announced.
Broadcast throughout 185 countries, the competition is followed by 530 million viewers around the world, thrilled by its participating clubs which include the likes of River Plate, Boca Juniors, Independiente, and the 2016 champion Atlético Nacional de Colombia, among others.
The partnership was announced on the day of the final 2017 match between Grêmio and Lanùs at La Fortaleza stadium of Lanús in Buenos Aires.
TAG Heuer’s brand exposure as the new Timekeeper was noticeable on the field boards as well as the iconic TAG Heuer substitution boards during the match… fans will be able to spot them all throughout the 2018 tournament!
