Taliban in Afghanistan: Fans roast Shahid Afridi as he delivers a shocking response about Taliban- check Twitter reactions: While the world is sympathizing for the sufferings after the Taliban have taken over Afghanistan, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has backed the Taliban for their move. Afridi’s statement mentioning that the Taliban have come with a ‘positive mind’ has come as a shock to the international media.

Taliban have come with a very positive mind. They’re allowing ladies to work. And I believe Taliban like cricket a lot,” Afridi told the media in Pakistan on Monday.

Pakistan veteran- Afridi went a step to acknowledge the intruders and mentioned that the Taliban have been lending crucial hands for the development of cricket and Afghanistan and also uplifting the stature of women by giving them jobs.

PSL 2022 might be Afridi’s last season

Taliban in Afghanistan: Further speaking to the media in Karachi, Shahid Afridi hinted at his participation in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He hinted that PSL 2022- the seventh season of the tournament could be his last season of the league where he wants to play for Quetta Gladiators.

Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Omar mentioned last week that had expressed his interest to join his PSL franchise for the seventh season of the tournament set to take place in 2022. Omar said former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is the incumbent captain, but if he were to voluntarily step down, “we can appoint Afridi in his place.

Former Pakistan all-rounder has played 37 Tests, 398 ODIs, and 99 T20 games for Pakistan in his international career.
