Subscribe to Tata Sky and watch IPL 2018 free of cost!

Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Hindi are offered free of cost to the new Tata Sky subscribers as a promotional deal. This comes close on the heels of the news that the other leading Direct to Home operator Airtel Digital TV has temporarily discontinued Star India channels from its subscription package.

Tata Sky has launched the offer to provide Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Hindi pay channels at no extra cost from 9 March to 27 May for all new acquisitions on the platform, says an indiantelevision.com report.

The offer will also be valid for new HD connections even as the subscribers will have to pay the subscription to get HD feed of the paid channels. The deal will come to an end with the IPL season 2018.

The IPL 2018 will feature 59 matches from 4 April to 27 May.

New subscribers for standard definition set top boxes will get the upcoming IPL free of cost as a promotional deal. Tata Sky has launched the offer at a time when a majority of Star India channels’ loyal fans on Airtel Digital TV will be looking for a new DTH service provider.

The DTH operator has launched a new service Tata Sky World Screen HD. The service will provide blockbuster movies in Korean, Italian, Flemish, Israeli, and many other languages with English subtitles.

The service is available on free view basis for HD, HD-PVR, and Transfer box subscribers until 15th March. Thereafter, service will be available at a subscription price of ₹ 75 per month from 16th March.
