The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee has complete 51 domestic commercial partnerships for the 2020 editions of the Olympics and Paralympics. In the list of the Tokyo 2020 sponsors, Japanese Car Parking brand Park 24 is the 51st domestic Tokyo 2020 sponsor.
The latest deal with the Park 24 Co. Ltd (Park 24) is inked in the category of Official Supporter of the Tokyo 2020. Park24 will be the official Parking Lot Partners for the Games. The deal is inked in the third domestic tier of the Tokyo 2020 Sponsorship Programme – Tokyo 2020 Olympic Supporters.
This is the 51st domestic partnership for the Tokyo 2020 Games, which are scheduled to start on July 24. Park 24 has been attributed the category “Parking Lot Services”, Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee has stated in a Press release.
The tie-up brings the total number of Tokyo 2020 domestic partners to 51, including 15 Gold Partners, 30 Official Partners, and 6 Official Supporters. In addition, there are 13 other worldwide Olympic TOP Partners. The Tokyo 2020 sponsorship programme also includes five Worldwide Olympic Partners – Atos, Bridgestone, Omega, Panasonic and Toyota – as Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Gold Partners.
Tokyo 2020 President Yoshiro Mori welcomed Park 24 on board, commenting, “We are delighted to welcome Park24 as an Official Supporter. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic sponsor programme is divided into four separate categories – the IOC’s The Olympic Partner (TOP) programme constituting the very highest level of Olympic sponsorship. The Worldwide TOP Partners who support the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 are Coca-Cola, Alibaba, Atos, Bridgestone, Dow, GE, Intel, Omega, Panasonic, Procter and Gamble, Samsung, Toyota and Visa.
The three remaining categories are designated for domestic sponsors. The highest domestic tier comprises Gold Partners, the second tier consists of Official Partners and the third tier is made up of Official Supporters. Domestic sponsors will also be core components of Tokyo 2020’s Marketing Programme, and until 2020 they will be indispensable partners both for the successful delivery of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and as partners of Japan’s Olympic and Paralympic teams. Accordingly, they will be accorded the rights to use Tokyo 2020’s Olympic and Paralympic designations and imagery, including emblems, mascots and slogans.
