Tokyo Olympics: Indian Hockey Team at Kapil Sharma Show: India’s hockey stars Manpreet Singh and Rani Rampal will be among the honoured guests on The Kapil Sharma Show this weekend. The duo who captained the men’s and women’s hockey teams at the Olympics and achieved great success will be accompanied by host Kapil Sharma and Bollywood veterans Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha. The guests also include men’s hockey team stars P.R. Sreejesh, Rupinder Pal Singh, Birendra Lakra, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Mandeep Singh and Harmanpreet Singh, while Savita, Gurjit Kaur, Neha Goyal, Sushila Chanu and Navneet will represent the women’s contingent.

During their appearance on The Kapil Sharma show, the players will speak about their experience of representing the country at an international level, and how it feels to be on the field and off-field during the competitions. Apart from that, Kapil Sharma himself performed a stand-up comedy that turned out to be a real entertainer for the entire team. Several stars from the show provided glimpses in what could be in store for the audience during the hour-long episode.

Bharti Singh uploaded a reel video with the entire team having a lighter time with Chak De India’s title song playing in the background. Actor and comedian Krushna Abhishek took to social media and shared his experience saying: “Every artist is always happy to perform on stage but today was a special day to perform in front of real-life heroes who made our nation proud. It made me feel so special to make them laugh and give them some light moments.”

India’s hockey contingent were amongst the many success stories for the entire country during the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. The Men’s hockey team lead by Manpreet Singh clinched the bronze medal, India’s first podium finish since the 1980 Olympics. Meanwhile, Rani Rampal and Co. finished fourth, qualifying for the semi-final in just their third Summer Games campaign.
