Tokyo Olympics Shooting LIVE: Shooting the most disappointing of all disciplines for India in Tokyo so far –
The sport of Shooting has been big disappoinment for India at the Tokyo Olympics. It was expected that India will win minimum 5-6 medals at Olympics in shooting. But contrary to these claims – leave aside the medals, Indian shooters are even struggling to make it to the finals of their respective events.
- Men’s 10m Air Rifle Qualification: Earlier on Sunday, India’s ace shooters Deepak Kumar and Divyansh Singh Panwar failed to qualify for the medal round in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Qualification after finishing 26th and 32nd respectively.
- Deepak Kumar accumulated 624.7 points at an average of 10.412 after shooting 60 shots on target while Divyansh Singh Panwar gathered 622.8 points in the qualifications, which in the end was just not good enough to make it to the 8-player final.
- Women’s 10m Air Pistol Qualification: Earlier, Manu Bhaker and Yashaswini Singh Deswal also failed to qualify for the medal round after finishing 12th and 13th respectively in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol Qualification.
- Men’s 10 M Air Pistol & Women’s Air Rifle also Indian shooters flooped badly with a exception of Saurabh Chaudhary who atleast reached Finals of his event.
