Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony LIVE – Opening Ceremony LIVE Streaming: The world’s biggest sporting spectacle will start on Friday and with a much-anticipated opening ceremony scheduled at 4.30 PM IST. Indian Olympic Association has decided that only few Indian participants will take part in the opening ceremony amid the COVID-19 scare in the Japanese capital. Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony LIVE – Opening Ceremony LIVE Streaming: The Indian athletes who have competitions lined up for the next day will be discouraged from attending the event. This is because the ceremony is likely to last till midnight so they will rather rest for the competitions scheduled for the following day. While Mary Kom is not scheduled to compete the next day, Manpreet will be leading the side out for the first Pool A game against New Zealand on Saturday.

Around 950 people, including almost 50 Indians (28 Athletes & 22 Officials) will attend the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics. Apart from them, there will be performers and athletes participating at the Tokyo Games. Notably, Six officials (from every country) are allowed at the ceremony but there is no cap on athletes.

The world’s biggest sporting extravaganza will be LIVE Broadcasted & LIVE Streamed in more than 204 countries. In India the Olympics & Paralympics will be broadcasted LIVE on Sony Sports Network & will be LIVE Streamed on SonyLIV. In USA – games will be broadcasted LIVE on NBC Network.

– Many Olympic nations are expected to demonstrate support for gender equality and racial justice. 

– Basketball player Rui Hachimura and wrestler Yui Sasuki will be Japan’s flagbearers at the Tokyo Olympic opening ceremony. 

– Gold-medal rower Mohamed Sbihi will be the first Muslim to carry the British flag at the Games, alongside sailor Hannah Mills. 

– Aussies Cate Campbell and Patty Mills are both attending their fourth Olympics. Mills, a basketballer who plays for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA, will be the first indigenous Australian selected to carry the flag for the Opening Ceremony. 

– Team USA will be represented by 40-year-old basketballer Sue Bird and Cuban-American baseballer Eddy Alvarez. 

Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony LIVE – Opening Ceremony LIVE Streaming: Tokyo Olympic organizing committee fired opening ceremony’s director Kentaro Kobayashi on Thursday after a Holocaust joke he made during a comedy show in 1998 went viral on social media.

The theme of the Olympic Ceremony is Moving Forward (ahead of COVID-19) with the slogan United By Emotion.

The new National Stadium or Olympic Stadium will host the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony will be produced by Takayuki Hioki. There will be an exhibition flight by Blue Impulse and an aerobatics squadron by Defense Force who are expected to daw Olympic Rings in the Tokyo Sky.
