Tokyo Olympics – PM Modi’s Auction Offer: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will auction personal memorabilia from the Tokyo Olympics to generate funds for a good cause. The PM made the request to Indian gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, Badminton ace PV Sindhu and boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who readily agreed to partake as they will list their medal-winning javelin, racquets and gloves.

Tokyo Olympics – PM Modi’s Auction Offer: In a video uploaded by Narendra Modi on his YouTube channel, the Indian Prime Minister could be seen sharing some heartfelt moments with the Indian athletes after their success Tokyo Olympics campaign. Having invited the entire contingent for breakfast, Modi felicitated them, sharing his message to them before requesting a favour out of Neeraj Chopra, Lovlina Borgohain and PV Sindhu.
PM Modi’s Auction Offer: Modi asked Neeraj Chopra, “You have put your signature here. I will auction it, no problem?” Chopra smiled at this and gave him the javelin used during the Tokyo Olympics. PV Sindhu also presented her racquet and Lovlina Borgohain presented her gloves to the PM. While Lovlina presented Modi with a pair of boxing gloves, PM Modi joked saying, “If I wear this, then the people of politics will say that Modi is going to mess up.” Modi pledged that he would be auctioning the memorabilia for a good cause, and more details on that are yet to be released. During the event, Modi also fulfilled his earlier promises of having ‘churma’ with Neeraj Chopra and sharing ice cream with PV Sindhu.
PM Modi’s Auction Offer: India meanwhile had their best-ever campaign at the Summer Games as they returned home with seven medals. While Neeraj Chopra clinched a historic gold medal in athletics, the likes of Mirabai Chanu and Ravi Kumar Dhaihya chipped in with silver medals. Lovlina Borgohain, PV Sindhu, Bajrang Punia and the men’s hockey team were the others to finish on the podium.
