Tokyo Olympics Updates – Tokyo New Covid-19 Norms: A big change in Tokyo Olympic Covid-19 protocols and norms is in offing. According to a report by Kyodo News, athletes and other delegation members for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics should be immediately isolated if they arrive in Japan with a person infected with the novel coronavirus, the organizing committee’s senior officer declared on Sunday.

This means, if 1 athlete tests positive on airport after arrival – rest of the squad, delegation traveling with him will also have to quarantine & isolate immediately. This rule will severely impact teams arriving in Japan in a group.
