Tokyo Olympics Records broken: The 32nd Summer Olympic Games has come to an end. This was a unique Olympic Games from many perspectives. No spectators and a host of Covid-related rules. The Summer Games, which were delayed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bore witness to great moments of triumph, history, and the crackdown on gender barriers. Tokyo Olympics saw a number of records being secured over several disciplines. Check out:
Multiple records were broken in cycling. Caeleb Dressel, the American swimmer who walked away with 5 medals, broke 2 Olympic records as well.
2 records were broken in weightlifting as well and both came from Georgia. No. 2 in the medal tally- China broke 5 Olympic records in cycling, shooting, swimming, and weightlifting.
