UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal MCI vs BVB result, Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund: Man City vs Borussia Dortmund ended in a 2-1 win for Pep Guardiola’s side as they take a 1-goal advantage in the 1st leg.

Manchester City secured a last-gasp triumph against Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League quarterfinal first leg at the Etihad Stadium with a late goal from Phil Foden.

A puny Emre Can giveaway in midfield commenced Man City’s first goal of the game as Kevin De Bruyne directed Riyad Mahrez’s cross behind Marwin Hitz in the Dortmund goal to give his side the lead just before 20 minutes.

Can’s turbulent night seem set to resume when he was whistled for a penalty on City’s Rodrigo, but the Germany midfielder was cleared out after a VAR analysis showed there was a handball prior to his foul.

Dortmund looked to have drawn level before half-time when Jude Bellingham stripped Man City keeper Ederson and was left to tap into an empty net, but the referee firmly whistled the 17-year-old for a foul on the play and Pep Guardiola’s team took their one-goal lead into the break.

MCI vs BVB: The visitors endured a tough test in the second half as they attempted to obtain a way back into the game versus a Man City team that came into the competition without allowing a goal in the Champions League for 706 minutes.

Ederson came to City’s redemption early in the second half, saving from Erling Haaland with an outstretched foot as the German side proceeded to produce difficulties for Manchester City.

Dortmund did well to keep the deficit at a single goal ere Marco Reus perfected off a nice team move with a slick strike to give his team an important away goal.

Though, Foden scored a skillful goal from an Ilkay Gundogan assist just before full-time to give Man City the win and an ever-so-slender edge over Dortmund for the 2nd leg on April 14 in Germany and a spot in the Champions League semifinals on the line.
