Slavia Praha vs Arsenal: Arsenal’s 1st goal was called offside

Emile Smith Rowe thought he had scored the opener after Bukayo Saka’s finesse effort hit the post and fell into his path. But, VAR took a long look at it before calling it offside.

Some sumptuous footwork from Smith Rowe served in Nicolas Pepe who displayed tremendous control to finish high into the net from close range in the 18th minute.

Slavia Praha vs Arsenal: It did not take Arsenal long to double their lead as Saka was brought down in the penalty box. Lacazette stepped up to take the penalty and sent the keeper the wrong way in the 21st minute.

Arsenal gained a 3-goals cushion 3 minutes later as Bukayo Saka sprinted through the Slavia defense down the right-wing. He then cut the ball into his favored right foot and drilled the ball straight into the bottom-right corner.

Arsenal will now face their ex-manager Unai Emery’s Villareal in the semi-finals.
