UEFA has invited proposals from companies interested in creating branded headphones and speakers for European soccer’s top clubs competitions. The licensing rights on offer include the 2019-20 and 2020-21 editions of the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. The category could prove popular given the profile of fashionable brands often worn by top soccer players before and after matches.

This licensed product category includes but is not limited to:

• Headphones
• Earbuds
• Noise-cancelling headphones
• Speakers
• Bluetooth and wireless headphones and speakers.

UEFA said that it is looking for “suitably qualified companies, ideally with experience working with sports properties.” UEFA has appointed TEAM Marketing AG (TEAM) as its exclusive marketing agency for the exploitation of media and commercial rights relating to men’s club competitions. TEAM is responsible, on behalf of UEFA, for overseeing the bidding process with regards to these competitions and will be the point of contact for bidders in relation to all requests for further information, comments, questions and submissions as well as in relation to any subsequent contractual negotiations.

In order to receive further information about the available rights, UEFA has asked the interested parties to either send an email to licensing@team.ch or contact Federico Bobbio, Licensing Manager at TEAM (+41 78 248 98 05) by no later than 25 April 2019.

Prospective bidders are requested to include in their email a company profile presentation, details of any similar licences held and examples of other licensed products currently developed.
