UFC 265: Dana White slams Sean Strickland’s SHOCKING comments about wanting to kills someone in the cage: UFC is undoubtedly the home to sheer violence and bloodbath, which makes intense rivalries nothing new to the sport. However, Sean Strickland, the 185 lbs elite, broke several moral codes by making some uncanny statements a few months back. Following his win over Uriah Hall in July, ‘Tarzan’ desired to kill one of his future opponents in the octagon.
Furthermore, Sean Strickland claimed he would enjoy doing so. However, all these statements didn’t seem to sit well with Dana White. The UFC chief expressed his opinion on Sean Strickland’s comments in a recent presser and didn’t validate what the fighter had said.
UFC 265: While promoting ‘Lewis vs Gane’, Dana White came across a reporter, who asked, “He (Sean Strickland) did kinda make some nasty comments afterwards, I don’t know if you were alerted of that but he said – ‘he would enjoy killing somebody in the ring’. Did that make it on your radar?”
In response, Dana White said, “Yeah, that didn’t get on my radar and nobody wants to hear somebody say that. You know what I mean.”
UFC 265: Despite witnessing extreme violence for years, no UFC fighter has ever lost their life in the octagon, fortunately. But several life-threatening injuries have happened, which cites MMA as one of the most violent sports all over the world.
UFC fighters are guarded by several medical experts, to ensure complete safety. So, Sean Strickland might have put a dent in his name by expressing his violent intentions. Nevertheless, Dana White assured, he is checking on all the fighters.
When will Sean Strickland return after UFC 265?
UFC 265: Currently, on a five-fight win streak, Sean Strickland holds a resume of 26-3 as a pro-MMA fighter. He has climbed the ladders pretty fast in the middleweight division and is now on the 8TH rank. This particular spot validates him to go against several big names in the division.
A world title shot can also be awaiting soon if Strickland gets two-three more wins. He is expected to return soon, but official confirmation will come only after UFC 265 takes place. Here’s how you can watch the PPV Live this week.
