UFC GYM has announced an unprecedented 10-year partnership agreement to open more than 100 gym locations throughout the India by 2028.
This agreement substantially expands the global brand presence of UFC GYM to the world’s second-largest population.
As per a research report, retail market for fitness in India likely to touch Rs 7,000cr by year-end.
Artaxerxes Fitness & Lifestyle P.U.T. LTD, led by franchisees Istayak Ansari and Farzad Palia, will open the first location later this year in Andheri West, Mumbai, with an average of 10 clubs debuting across the country annually beginning in early 2018.

Franchisees Istayak Ansari and Farzad Palia bring with them the business experience and entrepreneurial spirit to successfully open 100 UFC GYM centres in India.
Istayak Ansari has over 16 years’ experience leading startups, retail management and franchise development. He is credited with growing Gold’s Gym from six to 96 franchisees in Asia in just nine years. He also serves as director of both Lloyds Luxuries Ltd., which operates luxury barbershops throughout Southeast Asia, and 1441 Pizzeria, a fast casual restaurant with locations throughout Mumbai. Farzad Palia made his name as director of SPITMAAN Group and through ventures in real estate.
Since debuting in 2009, UFC GYM has opened more than 150 locations throughout the United States, 10 other countries and is growing. The fitness franchise has continued to grow at a rapid pace with more than 50 locations opening in the past two years and over 50 gyms expected to open in the next year.
