Ultratech Cement will extends its association with the Pro Kabaddi League for a third successive season.
An extension deal between Mashal Sports, the Star-India co-owned special purpose company to govern and run the largest and longest sport league in India, and Aditya Birla Group’s cement brand has been confirmed. A formal announcement may be made soon, Insidesport.co has reliably learnt.
The deal it is learnt has been agreed for ₹ 5-6 crore.
The seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League will kick start from Hyderabad on Sunday, July 20.
Ultratech Cement, the biggest cement company and the largest exporter of cement clinker in India, had first joined the Pro Kabaddi band wagon in 2017 and extended the tie-up into the sixth season last year.
Kabaddi has become India’s most successful league after cricket. With 12 teams and the season spanning over three months, Pro Kabaddi is also India’s biggest league in terms of teams and duration. PKL Season 7 will feature a total of 137 matches, including two eliminators, semi-finals and the final on October 19.
PKL has also tied up with INOX Multiplexes for LIVE screening of select games and the final in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Vadodara and Surat.
