US Open 2021: Most Grand Slams- Novak Djokovic on cusp of history- World No.1 Tennis player Novak Djokovic is chasing history at the US Open 2021. The 34-year-old is just a Grand Slam away to pip Swiss Tennis Maestro and Spanish legend Rafael Nadal. Djokovic is currently level on 20 Grand Slam titles with Federer and Nadal. Since the duo has pulled out of US Open, Djokovic has a golden opportunity for him to go past the two GOATS and climb to the peak of men’s tennis. Besides this, he can also become the first man on the planet to win Calendar Grand Slam in the 21st Century.
Earlier this month Novak Djokovic withdrew from this month’s Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati to recuperate from a season in which he won three Grand Slam tournaments and competed at the Tokyo Olympics.
“I’m taking a bit longer to recover after quite a physically taxing journey from Australian Open up to Tokyo,” he wrote on Twitter.
