The all-rounder had registered himself at a base price of Rs 20 lakh but his price tag sky-rocketed in the IPL 2021 auctions. K Gowtham was bought for a hefty Rs 9.5 crore by the Chennai Super Kings. He plays for Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
The Tamil Nadu batsman Shahrukh Khan was also bought for a huge price after multiple bids from IPL franchises. Punjab Kings bought the batsman for Rs 5.5 crore for IPL 2021.
The Delhi-based bowler Pawan Negi was bought for Rs 50 lakh by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2021 auction. The 28-year-old has experience of playing in the IPL for a number of years.
Kerala’s Jalaj Saxena was sold to Punjab Kings for Rs 30 lakh. Saxena has over 6000 runs in his first-class career, it includes 14 hundreds and 31 fifties.
