Ritu Phogat, India’s only women medal winner at the U-23 World Wrestling Championships is very excited about the prospects of cousin Vinesh Phogat at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Vinesh sealed an Olympic berth for Tokyo at the 2019 Senior World Championships in Nur-Sultan and according to Ritu is a sure bet for medal at Olympics.
“She missed her medal last time (Rio 2016) due to injury. That was heartbreaking. Now she has qualified again and the country has high hopes from her. I am hopeful that she will bring a medal for India,” said Ritu.
